Cameron Hospital Opens Donations Through COVID-19 Response Fund

Cameron Memorial Hospital

Update: Since this story aired, Steuben County has a confirmed positive coronavirus test.

Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Steuben County is giving community members a way to help as they deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

The hospital has opened up a response fund where people can donate to help the hospital purchase essential supplies like personal protective equipment.

Jenn Gibson is the director of marketing and business development at Cameron. She says the fund comes as a response to community members looking for a way to help.

“We have gotten a lot of questions from the community, how they can help. We’ve been working closely with the community foundation. And so we set up this resource as a way for people to securely contribute.”

For those who can’t donate but want to help, Cameron has also provided instructions on how to make homemade fabric masks that can be donated to the hospital.

On Thursday, the hospital also opened a Respiratory Clinic in Angola which is operating on an appointment-only basis. For more information visit Cameron Hospital's website to learn about how to donate and find instructions to make masks.
