Indiana set a new record Thursday for most positive cases of COVID-19, with 1,253 new cases reported. Ten new deaths were reported.
The worst date prior to Thursday was Wednesday, with 1,039. Since early July, the daily average positive tests reported statewide have hovered around 750.
In Allen County, two more residents died from COVID-19, bringing the county’s death toll to 162. There have been 3,816 positive cases reported, an increase of 66 over Wednesday.
Kosciusko County had 15 new cases reported Thursday into Friday.
Elsewhere in northeast Indiana, Noble County saw 13 new cases, Wells County had eight new cases, and Adams County had six.
