Provided by Purdue University-Fort Wayne

A new dual-enrollment program will offer more support for students hoping to earn a degree from Purdue University-Fort Wayne.

The "Titan to Mastodon Connection" is a collaboration between Purdue Fort Wayne and Ivy Tech Community College’s Fort Wayne campus.

Students who graduated high school with a 2.0 to 2.299 GPA and apply to Purdue Fort Wayne will be referred to Ivy Tech. After successfully completing their chosen program, students will then be guaranteed admission to Purdue Fort Wayne.

Course credits earned at both schools will be fully transferable for associate and bachelor’s degrees.

Only first-time applicants for full-time status qualify for the program. The schools say the students will benefit from financial aid coordination between them, as well as experience being a full-time student at both schools.

The goal of the program is to help foster a greater connection to both school communities and an easier transition into college life.
