Respiratory Screening Clinics Set Up Locally

Area medical groups are creating respiratory clinics for those who suspect they are infected with the coronavirus.

Parkview Physicians Group announced their clinics Thursday afternoon. These respiratory clinics offer a way to safely screen individuals with symptoms of the virus, and direct them to appropriate care.

Patients with symptoms of the virus, including fever, cough and trouble breathing, are encouraged to call 1-877-PPG-TODAY (1-877-774-8632) for a free screening.  They will then be triaged and sent to appropriate care, including virtual health options, according to a release.

There are separate clinics and locations to care for patients with non-respiratory health issues. All patients are asked to call the PPG phone number.

Earlier this week, a similar clinic was reportedly opened through Steuben County’s Cameron Memorial Hospital. If you are experiencing symptoms in Steuben County, call 260-667-5555 before presenting to any clinic or emergency room.
