There were 665 new cases of COVID-19 reported in northeast Indiana on Friday, with two new deaths--one each in Allen and Kosciusko counties.
The area’s ICU capacity has fallen again, now down to just under 11 percent, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
The area’s 7-day positivity rate stands at 11.7 percent, and there are 271 area residents hospitalized with the virus.
All area counties reported double-digit increases in new cases of COVID, with 308 reported in Allen County.
A total of 5,079 new cases were reported throughout Indiana, and the state’s 7-day positivity rate is at 11.5 percent.
More than 3.1 million Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated, with nearly 6,000 added to the tally on Friday.
The state reported 20 additional deaths on Friday, and statewide there are 2,443 residents hospitalized due to COVID.
Northeast Indiana totals:
- Adams County: 20 new cases for 4,165 total. No new deaths for 63 total. 7-day positivity at 6.9%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 36.9%.
- Allen County: 308 new cases for 49,693 total. 1 new death for 726 total. 7-day positivity at 11.5%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 54.6%.
- DeKalb County: 44 new cases for 5,267 total. No new deaths for 89 total. 7-day positivity at 14.9%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 41.7%.
- Huntington County: 47 new cases for 5,594 total. No new deaths for 87 total. 7-day positivity at 12.1%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 46.2%.
- Kosciusko County: 64 new cases for 10,646 total. 1 new death for 130 total. 7-day positivity at 10.5%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 41.4%.
- LaGrange County: 12 new cases for 2,936 total. No new deaths for 73 total. 7-day positivity rate at 8.9%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 24.9%.
- Noble County: 44 new cases for 6,853 total. No new deaths for 98 total. 7-day positivity rate at 13%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 40.4%.
- Steuben County: 22 new cases for 4,604 total. No new deaths for 64 total. 7-day positivity rate at 8.8%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 45.8%.
- Wabash County: 44 new cases for 4,446 total. No new deaths for 86 total. 7-day positivity rate at 13.4% Eligible population fully vaccinated 40.8%.
- Wells County: 33 new cases for 3,540 total. No new deaths for 82 total. 7-day positivity rate at 13.5%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 42.7%.
- Whitley County: 27 new case for 4,860 total. No new deaths for 48 total. 7-day positivity rate at 16.3%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 45%.
