Two additional Allen County residents have died from COVID-19, bringing the total to 209.
Another 95 confirmed and probable cases have been reported, bringing the total of COVID-19 cases in northeast Indiana’s largest county to 6,965, according to the Allen County Health Department.
And Indiana blew by its previous record for COVID-19 cases, with 1,832 cases reported Friday from Thursday. It is the second record-setting day in a row.
Nineteen new deaths were reported as well, according to the Indiana State Department of Health.
ICU beds in use for COVID-19 patients again increased statewide. Hospitalizations were up to 1,187, the highest total since late May.
Double-digit positive case increases were reported in almost all northeast Indiana counties, and nine more were reported in Adams County.
