Two additional Allen County residents have died from COVID-19, bringing the total to 209.
Another 95 confirmed and probable cases have been reported, bringing the total of COVID-19 cases in northeast Indiana’s largest county to 6,965, according to the Allen County Health Department.
And Indiana blew by its previous record for COVID-19 cases, with 1,832 cases reported Friday from Thursday. It is the second record-setting day in a row.
Nineteen new deaths were reported as well, according to the Indiana State Department of Health.
ICU beds in use for COVID-19 patients again increased statewide. Hospitalizations were up to 1,187, the highest total since late May.
Double-digit positive case increases were reported in almost all northeast Indiana counties, and nine more were reported in Adams County.
New case totals for northeast Indiana:

- Allen County--95 new, 6,965 total
- DeKalb County--17 new, 599 total
- Huntington County--11 new, 316 total
- Kosciusko County--13 new, 1,448
- LaGrange County--four new, 691 total
- Noble County--11 new, 981 total
- Steuben County--14 new, 465 total
- Wabash County--eight new, 304 total
- Wells County--seven new, 312 total
- Whitley County--four new, 348 total
