If you’re looking for a special bit of live-music heaven, Pearl Arts’ second-annual PianoFest Sunday afternoon is a joyful celebration of the instrument and the four talented musicians coming together to perform it.

The Fort Wayne Philharmonic Chorus was joined by the DePaul University Concert Choir from Chicago, and pianist Jon Kimura Parker

The concert at PFW featured music by Joseph Schwantner and Sir Edward Elgar.

Conductor Andrew Constantine also directed the orchestra in the music of Lili Boulanger, Edgar Meyer, and Maurice Ravel.

The concert featured music by George Gershwin, Ernest Bloch, and Michael Daugherty.

The All-American concert series opened with a work honoring Ellis Island.

Fort Wayne Philharmonic Music Director Andrew Constantine led the orchestra in a special program honoring the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Performance garnered a standing ovation and an encore by pianist Garrick Ohlsson.

The Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by music director Andrew Constantine, presented music by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Peter Tchaikovsky in the Masterworks Series concert at Purdue Fort Wayne on April 5. The Philharmonic’s final Masterworks Series concert of the 2024-25 season is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. at Purdue Fort Wayne.

Andrew Constantine conducted the orchestra in colorful and exciting music by Alberto Ginastera, J.P. Jofre, Astor Piazzolla, and Manuel de Falla. Johanna Bourkova-Morunov was concertmaster for this concert.
