Fox Island County Park

Two years after a derecho devastated Fox Island Park, the park is finally set to reopen to the public.

It's been a little more than a year since a derecho devastated Allen County's Fox Island Park. Staff and volunteers continue to work toward reopening.

Fox Island Park in Allen County has been recovering from the June 2022 derecho. The staff had hoped to reopen sometime this year, but the park manager now believes April of 2024 is the best time to reopen.

The popular Allen County park suffered catastrophic damage during the June derecho.
