Tony Sandleben
Reporter/HostTony Sandleben joined the WBOI News team in September of 2022.
He has covered news his entire adult life, including when he worked as a multi-media journalist at WANE15 News in 2018. He studied journalism and political science at Ball State University.
Tony has lived all over the State of Indiana but discovered his passion for honest, accurate and ethical news reporting and its role in a strong democracy through his work at Ball State.
Tony has spent almost a decade covering impactful news in every community he has ever lived in from the State government giving Ball State control of Muncie Community Schools, the meth crisis in Delaware County, faulty garbage pickup in Fort Wayne and the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on South Bend to crime, elections, protests and everything in between.
In his spare time, Tony enjoys spending time with his dog, Esther, or bringing the house down at a karaoke night.
