Mikautadze Dance Theatre Celebrates Ten Creative Years

The Mikautadze's are proud to offer a host of collaborative works for this 10th anniversary concert, including the company's 1st comedic piece.

This weekend, Mikautadze Dance Theatre is celebrating its 10th anniversary in its signature multi-media style at Purdue Fort Wayne's Williams Theater.

The contemporary direction this modern dance company is known for taking is based on, and centered in collaboration at every level, beginning with its founders, Elizabeth and David Mikautadze.

Under their careful and deliberate crafting, compelling choreography meets as many other art genres as possible. And besides passing the ten year milestone, MDT is also celebrating its 6th year as comapny-in-residence at IPFW.

Last week, WBOI's Julia Meek invited MDT's founders, Elizabeth and David Mikautadze, into the studio to discuss how this 1st decade has shaped their company, and get a glimpse at the art-full creations this celebratory concert will be showcasing.
