Mayor Henry Reflects On City's Arts Scene

As the city's cultural skyline continues to blossom, 2019 proved to be another busy year on the Fort Wayne arts scene.

With a new year and a new decade on the horizon, WBOI's Julia Meek decided to take her annual look at the state of the city's arts with Mayor Tom Henry himself.

For the occasion, she coaxed Mayor Henry away from his office and into the studio to reflect on the various forms of artistic expression the community enjoys, and how it affects our quality of life.

You can find more information on Fort Wayne's arts programs and events, visit the Arts United website.

A Fort Wayne native, Julia is a radio host, graphic artist, and community volunteer, who has contributed to NIPR both on- and off-air for forty years. Besides being WBOI's arts & culture reporter, she currently co-produces and hosts Folktales and Meet the Music.
