City Debuts Draft of Southeast Strategy, Asks For Comments
Fort Wayne is encouraging residents to give feedback on its drafted Southeast Strategy Update. The strategy is an update to a 2007 plan that focused on residential strategies.
The 2020 update is designed to increase investment in the southeast quadrant of the city.
The draft documents are available online as well as at several areas in the city; Renaissance Pointe YMCA, McMillen Park Community Center, Weisser Park Center and the Hessen Cassel Public Library Branch. Comment cards are available at the in-person displays, but comments can also be emailed to the city.
Some items outlined in the plan are improving access to health and wellness services, creating more housing options and promoting Southeast Fort Wayne.
