Indiana COVID-19 Infections Highest In Those 50 And Older

Four more deaths were reported in Allen County due to COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the total to 246.

 

An additional 212 individuals tested positive for the illness, bringing that total to 11,686, according to the Allen County Department of Health.

 

Across Indiana, there were 4,213 Hoosiers newly diagnosed with COVID-19. Another 34 individuals have died.

 

 

In northeast Indiana, there were two other deaths reported over the weekend, as well as roughly 300 new cases.

 

Most of the area’s COVID-19 cases are now in those between the ages of 50-59, with 17.6 percent. 

 

Those between the ages of 20-29 make up 16.5 percent of the cases.

 

Northeast Indiana totals on Monday:

  • Adams County: 16 new cases, 942 total
  • Allen County: 212 new cases, 11,686 total, and four new deaths for a total of 246
  • DeKalb County: 23 new cases, 1,119 total
  • Huntington County: 21 new cases, 697 total
  • Kosciusko County: 84 new cases, 2,907 total, and one new death reported for a total of 35 deaths
  • LaGrange County: 26 new cases, 1,037 total
  • Noble County: 79 new cases, 1,692 total
  • Steuben County: 19 new cases, 909 total
  • Wabash County: 24 new cases, 814 total, and one new death reported for a total of 15 deaths
  • Wells County: 12 new cases, 707 total
  • Whitley County: 35 new cases, 735 total
