All northeast Indiana counties with the exception of Wabash are seeing their weekly scores worsen amid continued extensive spread of COVID-19.

A week ago, many of the area’s 11 counties had improved to the “orange” warning label for community spread on Indiana’s coronavirus dashboard, but the area is turning red again.

While Adams, Noble, Huntington and Kosciusko counties remain orange, their positivity rates and cases-per-capita numbers are climbing.

Only Wabash remains in the orange and shows a decline, though the county is in the red for cases per 100,000 residents.

Allen County reported four new deaths on Thursday, and 224 new positive cases, bringing the total to 379 deaths and 22,943 cases.

ICU bed capacity in northeast Indiana is under 13 percent, though the number of those hospitalized with COVID-19 in the area is down to 372.

The statewide positivity rate on Thursday is 13.9 percent.
