There were no changes to county scores on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard on Monday, but there were some elevated positivity rates in northeast Indiana from over the weekend.
No new deaths were reported from Friday into Sunday, according to state and local health department data.
A number of area counties saw their 7-day positivity rate scores inch back up over 5 percent. The number of individuals receiving COVID-19 tests remains at its lowest since last May.
The state’s dashboard tracks not only the 7-day positivity scores, but also the number of cases per 100,000, providing context for the rate of positivity.
Those scores give the counties their color code: blue for the best, followed by yellow, orange and red for the most at risk for community spread.
Five northeast Indiana counties remain in the yellow: Steuben, DeKalb, Whitley, Noble and Huntington counties.
The rest are now in the blue.
The area’s positivity rate for the past 7 days is at 4.8 percent. There are 37 northeast Indiana residents hospitalized with COVID-19, among the 610 statewide.
