As Indiana continues to see cases of COVID-19, hospitals in northeast Indiana are trying to make it easier for residents to get screened for coronavirus.
Indiana University Health launched a virtual clinic to offer free screening to people throughout the state. The app is available on the Apple Store and Google Play, but the service can also be accessed on a computer.
After creating an account, users will be able to see a list of available nurses and doctors who will screen them for symptoms that would suggest coronavirus. From there, the practitioner will recommend next steps for care.
The app allows users to screen for the virus regardless of age.
Other hospitals, like Parkview Health, are providing resources to better understand what symptoms of coronavirus look like.
On their website, Parkview offers several different symptoms and the recommended path for them, such as isolating and self-monitoring versus visiting a doctor.
