More Services Move Online Amid Rising COVID-19 Counts

Indiana saw more than 7,000 new cases of COVID-19 reported Thursday, and the number of institutions and organizations going to remote-only services continue to grow.Thursday afternoon, WorkOne Northeast announced its 11 centers would be transitioning to remote-only services beginning Monday, and continuing indefinitely.

The Allen County Department of Health announced a number of changes at their offices at Citizens Square, including in Environmental Services and Vital Records.

Locally, one more COVID-19 death was reported in Allen County, bringing that total to 275. Another 470 people tested positive.

Along with the 7,420 new cases reported Thursday statewide, an additional 59 deaths were reported.

There have been 275,503 positive diagnoses of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in Indiana. 4,889 Hoosiers have died. 

Northeast Indiana daily totals for cases, deaths and positivity as of Nov 19:

  • Adams County: 44 new cases for 1,482 total. No new deaths for 18 total. 7-day positivity rate 10.8%
  • Allen County: 470 new cases for 15,844 total. One new death for 275 total. 7-day positivity rate 18.5%
  • DeKalb County: 44 new cases for 1,599 total. No new deaths for 25 total. 7-day positivity rate 17.2%
  • Huntington County: 39 new cases for 1,022 total. No new deaths for seven total. 7-day positivity rate 10.6%
  • Kosciusko County: 190 new cases for 3,955 total. No new deaths for 39 total. 7-day positivity rate 13.5
  • LaGrange County: 19 new cases for 1,285 total. No new deaths for 24 total. 7-day positivity rate 26.9%
  • Noble County: 82 new cases for 2,267 total. No new deaths for 44 total. 7-day positivity rate 12.9%
  • Steuben County: 30 new cases for 1,264 total No new deaths for 13 total. 7-day positivity rate 16.7%
  • Wabash County: 63 new cases for 1,305 total. No new deaths for 17 total. 7-day positivity rate 12.6% 
  • Wells County: 27 new cases for 1,072 total. No new deaths for 21 total. 7-day positivity rate 16.8%
  • Whitley County: 53 new cases for 1,158 total. Two new deaths for 10 total. 7-day positivity rate 17.9%
