Weekend Coronarivus Count Ticks Upward

The death rate for COVID-19 in Noble County is the highest in northeast Indiana, at four deaths per 10,000 residents.

For comparison, Allen County’s death rate is 1.6 deaths per 10,000 residents.

 

Noble County now has 20 deaths attributed to the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. Allen County has lost 65 residents.

 

There have been 982 Allen County residents who have tested positive for COVID-19. Noble County has the second-highest count in the region, with 152 individuals testing positive.

 

Statewide, 27,778 Hoosiers have tested positive for the coronavirus, and 1,607 have died.

 

Over 500 new cases were reported on Saturday, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
