One more Allen County resident died from COVID-19 over the weekend. The death, reported Saturday, brings the total to 107 Allen County residents who have died from the disease.

More than 2,600 Allen County residents have tested positive for the disease.

Elsewhere in northeast Indiana, the COVID-19 hotspots remain LaGrange and Noble counties.

LaGrange County now has 446 positive tests, with a positive test rate of 22.3 percent. Six LaGrange County residents have died.

Noble County has 427 positive tests, and a positive test rate of 11 percent.

Late Friday afternoon, Noble County health commissioner Dr. Terry Gaff announced the investigation into a possible COVID-19 exposure at the Kendallville Parks/Cole YMCA Day Camp.

One of the campers lives in a home where a parent had tested positive. The camper had developed cold-like symptoms, but had not been at the day camp since June 23. Out of an abundance of caution, camp was suspended, officials said.

If no campers test positive for the virus, camp will resume on July 6.
