Sixteen new COVID-19 deaths were reported throughout Indiana Tuesday, with two of them occurring in Allen County.
That brings the Allen County death toll due to the disease to 155, with 3,425 having tested positive.
Statewide, there were 809 new positive cases of COVID-19, and hospitalizations were up to 907 according to the Indiana State Department of Health.
Indiana’s peak hospitalization census due to COVID-19 was 1,657 in early April, with a low of 595 on June 26.
Eighteen percent of those who have tested positive statewide are between the ages of 20-29, a segment of the population positive for COVID-19 that continues to grow.
In Allen County, that percentage is over 19.1 percent. According to state data, Noble County’s highest-percentage age group is those between 30-39 at 16.7 percent.
Kosciusko County has the second-highest number of COVID-19 cases outside of Allen County, with 768 and 11 deaths, including two additional deaths over the weekend.
