The Allen County Board of Zoning Appeals heard more than two hours of public comment on the zoning request submitted by Indy-based US Aggregates.

The proposed quarry would join several others in the Little River Valley area, but is seated in close proximity to several neighborhoods, a school and the upcoming IU Health campus.

US Aggregates has submitted a proposal to build a quarry off of Homestead Road, which is stirring up opposition from residents.
