Anti-Trump protests

Local organizers estimate they pulled more than 9,000 people to the Allen County Courthouse Green on Saturday. Additional protests saw more than 100 people in the more rural communities around the region.

On Saturday and Sunday, there were demonstrations against the conduct of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other federal agencies in the wake of a pair of fatal shootings by agents in Minnesota.

Senator Todd Young invited a small group from Indivisible Northeast Indiana to meet with his staff following his vote to block the Trump administration from seizing oil exports in Venezuela.

Following the shooting of 37-year-old Renee Good last week in Minneapolis, protests against ICE actions have sprang up around the country. Fort Wayne had two such demonstrations in a matter of days.

The protest is part of a trend of demonstrations across the country following the shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.
