Fifty-eight year old John Edward McCloud was shot to death in the 1500 block of Wells Street when police responded to a burglary call. It was the fifth police-action shooting since the beginning of June.

It is the fifth officer-involved shooting involving a FWPD officer since June.

The project is the first of its kind in the state.
